Group Katonah Yoga®️ Classes

Practice with Structure. Play with People.

Practicing in community sharpens your technique and builds real-world capacity. Our Chicago pop-ups run out of We The People Fitness Studio (Goose Island).

Abode group classes are method-driven, not performative. You’ll get Katonah-informed structure (three floors, nine rooms), mobility that respects joints and tissues, breathwork that organizes effort, and strength principles so shapes hold up under load.

Not a sweat-for-sweat’s-sake flow. Not circus tricks. Clear geometry, repeatable sequences, measurable progress.

FAQs

  • Orient: brief setup using the “body as an abode” map, where are we working and why.

Organize: precise alignment cues + prop use to create safe, efficient leverage.

Move: dynamic sequencing with intentional holds, joint-friendly ranges, and breath scaffolding.

Integrate: short closing pattern (breath + seat) so you leave oriented, not wrung out.

  • You want a smart class that respects anatomy and still feels like practice.

You like being coached: clear demos, tactile options, and cueing that lands.

You’re curious how breath, geometry, and strength interact.

All levels welcome; I’ll offer regressions and progressions for each shape.

  • No fluff, no mystery, just methods. I teach clear setups, use props intentionally, and coach breath to organize effort. Expect hands-on options (with consent), specific reps/holds, and reasons behind what we’re doing so you can repeat it at home.
