The precise information depends on the technologies Abode enables.
Information from other sources: We may receive information from our booking and membership platform, payment processor, website host, email or text provider, video-conferencing provider, social-media services when you interact with us, referral partners when you authorize the referral, and event or retreat partners involved in delivering a Service.
2. Sensitive and health-related information
Abode may receive limited health-related information that you voluntarily provide so instructors can understand relevant participation needs or so we can respond to an emergency. Abode is not a healthcare provider, and information provided to a yoga studio is not necessarily protected by the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”). Please provide only information reasonably necessary for the requested purpose.
We use health-related and accessibility information to support participation, administer a requested Service, document incidents, respond to emergencies, and satisfy legal or insurance obligations. We do not sell this information or use it for targeted advertising.

5. Email, text messages and communications
We may send transactional communications concerning purchases, reservations, account administration, schedule changes, safety and customer service. Marketing text messages, if offered, will require the consent described at signup and may be stopped by replying STOP or following the stated instructions. Consent to marketing is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply.
6. Photographs, recordings and testimonials
Participation in a class or event does not by itself authorize Abode to use an identifiable image, recording or testimonial for marketing. Abode will request separate permission when appropriate. Operational photographs or recordings, if any, will be disclosed. You may withdraw prospective marketing permission by contacting us, although withdrawal may not require recall of material already lawfully published or distributed.
7. Data retention and deletion
We retain personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing Services, maintaining transaction and acceptance records, resolving disputes, complying with tax, contract, insurance and legal obligations, and protecting safety and security. Retention periods vary by record type and provider.
Proposed Abode retention schedule for confirmation: active account and membership records for the relationship plus applicable legal periods; physical fitness service contracts while in effect and for at least three years afterward; payment and tax records for [INSERT PERIOD CONFIRMED WITH ACCOUNTANT]; waivers and incident records for [INSERT PERIOD CONFIRMED WITH INSURER/ATTORNEY]; marketing contacts until opt-out or deletion is appropriate; and health/accessibility notes only as long as reasonably needed for their stated purpose.
When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or de-identify it, subject to backup cycles, legal holds and service-provider systems.
8. Security and data incidents
Abode uses reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the size of the business. No system can guarantee complete security. You are responsible for protecting account credentials and notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
If a data incident occurs, Abode will investigate and provide legally required notices in accordance with applicable law, including the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act when applicable.
9. Your choices and requests
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may ask to access, correct or delete information you provided, close an account, withdraw an optional consent, or ask a question about our practices. We may need to verify identity and may retain information when required for legal, safety, transaction, fraud-prevention or recordkeeping purposes.

Information you post publicly or send through a public social-media feature may be visible to others. Do not submit sensitive information through public comments or messages.
11. Location of processing
Abode and its providers may process and store information in the United States and other locations where providers operate. If Abode intentionally markets Services to individuals outside the United States, this section and the Policy should be reviewed for the laws of those jurisdictions before doing so.
